ELGIN, SCOTLAND, JUNE 8, 2017: Young Gyr falcons are placed in a hacking box on breeder Howard Waller's property. The box is placed on the moor out of sight of human contact. The young birds who have had previously known regular human contact are now “rewilded” through this process. The birds wear transmitters and are kept up here for up to 5 weeks. During this period, they will learn to fly and identify prey and respond to their genetic coding.
