Parque Antonio Maceo, Havana, Cuba (1916)
The park is dedicated to Antonio Maceo, one of the most celebrated leaders of the Cuban Liberation Army. Its centrepiece is a bronze monument of Maceo designed by the Italian sculptor Doménico Boni and erected in 1916. Revered to this day by Cubans, it's a popular place for remembrance and resting. The park sits right at the Avenida de Maceo, an esplanade and seawall that stretches along the coast in Havana, commonly referred to as the Malecón.
