After surgery, Hope is placed on a comfortable bed in a low cage to restrict her movements while the collarbone (clavicle) heals. Surgery was an absolute necessity. In a four-hour procedure, Swiss surgeon Dr. Andreas Messikommer, placed a pin and 6 screws to secure the bone in place.

ترقدُ هوب بعد الجراحة في سرير مريح موضوع في قفص منخفض، للحدّ من قدرتها على التحرّك فيما تشفى عظمة الترقوة لديها. كان من الضروري إجراء الجراحة، إذ أنّ الجرّاح السويسري الدكتور أندرياس ميسيكومر وضع لها قطعة تثبيت واحدة و6 براغي لتثبيت العظمة في مكانها.
