Mango season
A boy paddles his dugout canoe past mango trees on a deserted beach in the remote Turtle Islands archipelago in southern Sierra Leone, where residents have been living off the land and the ocean in much the same way for generations. The area has been largely protected from industrial overfishing by its shallow sandbanks, but fishermen say changing weather patterns are making it harder and more dangerous to go out to sea in search of fish.
