Apollo 9 - March 6, 1969 - NASA ID: AS09-20-3065
Dave Scott takes a moment while collecting a thermal sample to take in this astonishing view of Earth as it curves away into the distance. Due to Schweickart’s sickness, the delayed EVA (spacewalk) was shortened from two hours to just 40 minutes, but largely achieved its key objectives, including testing the PLSS (backpack), returning thermal samples, and traversing the LM using the handrails.
