Augustine and Christophe
Husband and wife Augustine and Christophe photographed with their octopus spears near their home in Tampolove village, one of several involved in the creation of the Velondriake marine protected area in southwestern Madagascar. They have benefited from a system of temporary octopus fishing closures and have also started farming sea cucumbers, reducing their reliance on hunting and fishing.
