This was one of the most epic journeys of my life. Pawel Wicher and I decided to cycle Baikal Lake in winter. It took us 21 days and some 800-900km, although Baikal is ‘only’ 636 km long. Often huge crevasses stood in our way and some days we couldn’t ride, there was too much snow. Sometimes we slept in a tent on the lake; these were not the most comfortable nights, because Baikal is… shaking. Up to 2000 earthquakes per year happen here.
