Ttukseom Hangan Park, Seoul, S. Korea (1986)
Ttukseom Hangang Park is a necklace of green spaces strung along the banks of the Han River that flows through Seoul, an Asian city leading the way in urban park design. Created between 1982 and 1986, with the main goal to create an environmentally friendly space that the citizens of Seoul could enjoy, it benefits from the fact that the Han River is not used for industrial purposes because of its proximity to North Korea.
