DUBAI, UAE, SEPTEMBER 24, 2017: Sheikh Butti bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, a member of the Dubai Royal family, is seen at his home in Dubai, holding his favourite Gyr falcon and surrounded by other high-end falcons that were bred especially for him. Sheikh Butti is the first UAE falconer and likely the first Arab to ever train and hunt with hybrid falcons and is credited with revolutionising the sport. Selective breeding helps to save falcons in the wild.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 24 سبتمبر 2017: الشيخ بطي بن مكتوم بن جمعة آل مكتوم هو أحد أفراد العائلة المالكة في دبي، تم التقاط صورة له في منزله في دبي فيما يحمل صقر الجير المفضل لديه وتحيط به صقور أخرى راقية تمت تربيتها خصيصاً له. الشيخ بطي هو أول مربي صقور إماراتي، وعلى الأرجح أول عربي يدرّب الصقور الهجينة ويصطاد بها، كما يُنسب إليه الفضل في إحداث ثورة في هذه الرياضة. يساعد التكاثر الانتقائي على إنقاذ الصقور في البرية.
