Untitled
The Onaqui wild horses symbolise freedom and are some of the last remnants of ‘wild’ we have in America. I lived amongst the herd for a week, camping out in a dusty desert environment. Here, wild stallions battle for hierarchy, sending young foals scattering from the melee. Light from the ‘golden hour’ illuminates their massive shapes. This was captured near a desert watering hole where the horses will often fight for pecking order.
