In 2011, together with reporter Ron Gluckman, Luke Duggleby was given extraordinary access to the facilities and events at Dhammakaya. Eight times the size of Vatican City, it is home to the controversial Dhammakaya movement, whose followers refer to the vast golden dome at its heart as ‘the UN of Buddhism.’ Dhammakaya is separate from Thailand’s Buddhist movement and its meditation grounds at Pathum Thani can accommodate one million people.
