Cradle Mountain National Park, Tasmania, Australia
Wombats are elusive so I was excited to find them easier photographic prey in Cradle Mountain National Park. Unlike most other marsupials, the young ‘joeys’ face backwards in the mother's pouch. It was quite a surprise the first time to see the mother nibbling on grass in the front while the joey peer and graze out of the back.
