Reports state that 1,130 workers died, and nearly 2,500 were rescued alive after the eight-story building Rana Plaza which housed mostly garment factories, collapsed on 24 April 2013.

تمشّط إينوير ابنة شيلبي وهي إحدى الناجيات المصابات من انهيار مبنى رانا بلازا شعر والدتها في مستشفى في مدينة سافار في بنغلاديش في 14 يونيو 2013. وتُشير التقارير إلى أنَّ 1130 عاملاً لقوا مصرعهم وتمّ انتشال 2500 شخص على قيد الحياة من تحت الأنقاض بعد انهيار مبنى رانا بلازا للأنسجة المؤلّف من ثماني طبقات والذي كان يضمُّ مصانع للأنسجة في 24 أبريل 2013.
