Lake Logipi, Kenya
Over a million flamingos descend on a small seasonal lake in northern Kenya in September 2018. I made this image from a light aircraft with the doors removed on one side. It shows a huge grouping of flamingos standing and feeding in the shallow water lake. Temporary trails left by the birds have produced different colour grades on the lake bed, creating an optical illusion of a giant wave.
