Untitled
Sat on a camel, possibly THE worst mode of travel for comfort and stability imaginable, I wasn’t really seeing much, and then the wind dropped and the scene in the image opened up. Within seconds we were hit by the sand storm you can see approaching. It’s truly frightening, the sand tingles wherever it touches your skin, visibility is zero and it gets everywhere, literally. My camera was destroyed and I only salvaged three frames from the film.
