Tarahumaras are famous for being very strong runners. Because of the remoteness of the Chihuahuan mountains, they have been running for centuries to get to places.

مارتا رايو وحفيدها في منزلٍ يقع في صحراء شيواوية. تنتمي مارتا إلى قبيلة التاراهومارا الأصلية التي تعيش في شمال المكسيك في منطقةٍ جبليّة لا تصل إليها الكهرباء أو أي نوعٍ من التكنولوجيا. يشتهر أفراد قبيلة التاراهومارا بكونهم أقوياء وسريعين للغاية، إذ أنّ جبال شيواوية تقع في منطقةٍ نائية فقد كانوا يعتمدون على الركض منذ مئات السنين للوصول إلى الأماكن التي يتوجّهون إليها.
