So many of our friends and relatives died that day.’ Leone Sony lives with his parents, two brothers and two sisters in Port-au-Prince. The earthquake in 2010 killed almost 250000 people and more than 1.5 million people lost their homes. ‘I dream of becoming an architect. I would design an earthquake-proof house for my family. And I would rebuild the cathedral.’

"صحيح أنّ عائلتي فقدت كلّ ما تملكه عند وقوع الزلزال، لكنّنا جميعنا محظوظون اليوم لأننا ما زلنا على قيد الحياة. خسر الكثير من أصدقائنا وأقاربنا حياتهم في ذلك اليوم." يقيم ليون سوني برفقة والديْه وشقيقيْن وشقيقتيْن في مدينة بورت أو برنس. تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ زلزال عام 2010 قد أودى بحياة أكثر من 250 ألف شخص تقريباً في حين فقد أكثر من 1.5 مليون شخص منازلهم. "أحلم بأن أصبح مهندساً معمارياً. سأصمم لعائلتي يوماً ما في المستقبل منزلاً قوياً يبقى صامداً في وجه أي زلزال. كما سأعيد بناء الكاتدرائية."
