Saving Orangutans 7
Sumatra Island, Indonesia.

Leuser, a large 25-year-old male orangutan, who will undergo a routine medical check, needs the strength of 4 people to carry him into the examination room.
He was first rescued in Aceh in 2010. Today, he still has 48 bullets that cannot be removed, most in the face, that had left him completely blind. Unable to return to the jungle, he will live out his life at The Haven, the SOCP’s soon-to-open sanctuary.
