Four women from the regions of southern Iraq, specifically the western Hammar Marsh, collect reeds from inside the central marshes by the old traditional wooden Mashoof canoes. This is one of the ancient ways of harvesting reeds and papyrus, which are used either as food for buffaloes and other animals or used after drying to build homes and dwellings in rural areas.

أربع نساء من مناطق جنوب العراق وبالتحديد هور الحمار الغربي يقومون بجمع القصب من داخل الأهوار الوسطى عبر المشاحيف الخشبية التقليدية القديمة حيث تعتبر هذه الطريقة من الطرق القديمة في جني القصب والبردي الذي يستخدم إما لإطعام الجاموس والحيوانات الأخرى أو بعد تجفيفه يستخدم لبناء البيوت والمضايف في تلد المناطق الريفية.
