I came across this young tree flanked by small sand dunes and felt the balanced shape of the tree branches offered a potential composition. I set the tripod up and captured this image. However, the photograph doesn’t fully reflect how much sand was blowing around in the atmosphere! My arms, legs and face were getting sandblasted and I wear contact lenses, so I was doing my best to cover my eyes with my sunglasses.
