Blacktip sharks patrol the edge of a coral dropoff at sunset in South Pass, Fakarava, French Polynesia. The shallows slope to a canyon known for its walls of grey reef sharks that ride the currents by day and hunt by night. These wild waters, home to one of the most concentrated populations of sharks are part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a beacon of light in shark conservation.
