Two elephants play amongst a palm oil plantation that is being cleared for replanting in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Elephant herds can often be found in plantations like this, as they enjoy feasting on the young palms.

However their presence has caused conflict, as they destroy valuable crops. As a result, many have been shot or poisoned in the plantations. Now, the world’s smallest elephant sits on the brink of extinction.
